Adventerra Games Earns 2021 Good Housekeeping Best Toy Award!

We are excited to announce that our Hungry Bins: Learn to Recycle game has received a 2021 Good Housekeeping Best Toy Award!

Hungry Bins is a fun memory and classification game that introduces young children (ages 3+) to recycling and composting. Players look for pairs of the same materials, then put them in the proper bins for plastic, glass, paper, and food scraps (color-coded edges help kids sort correctly). Children love feeding the tokens into the cute cartoon bins, and parents love the eco-friendly lessons!

The Good Housekeeping product experts, parent and kid testers evaluated hundreds of toys for months before naming the winners. The jury assessed the toys in terms of skill-building and developmental attributes, and recognized Adventerra Games’ educational benefits (all of our games have earned the prestigious Early Childhood Product Authenticated Seal). Hungry Bins: Learn to Recycle has also won numerous other awards, including the prestigious Toy Industries of Europe’s Silver Play For Change Award, The National Parenting Center Spring 2021 Seal of Approval, and the 2021 Mom’s Choice Gold Award.

The Good Housekeeping analysts also evaluated toys’ durability and construction – no doubt they were impressed by our sustainable, eco-friendly materials, both recycled and recyclable. Even the film that wraps around the box is made from sugarcane and is totally biodegradable!

Finally, more than 100 children assessed the fun factor, with thousands of hours of play. With our games, kids can play, learn, and save the planet before they even enter kindergarten! If a child first learns about serious issues from the news or adult conversations, they may feel scared and overwhelmed. Eco-educational games are a much better way to introduce these topics – while having fun and learning how they can help, children become more confident and excited about tackling environmental challenges. Our games and puzzles show kids that they have the power to make positive changes!

Adventerra Games, a family-owned company based in Switzerland, publishes engaging puzzles and games that help kids learn to conserve natural resources and save the planet. While playing our simple and enjoyable games, players intuitively learn new behaviors that reduce their ecological footprints. When these behaviors become lifetime habits, players become super-heroes for the planet! Bryan Mundell, the Founder/Owner and co-inventor of the games, incorporated Adventerra Games North America LLC in 2019 to bring his games to North American families.
